On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for an experienced Corporate Communications Specialist to join the Group Financial Communications team in their Zurich office for a 9 -12 month contract.

As a Senior role within the Group Financial Communications team, responsibilities will include:

• Construct the bank's Corporate Communications presence globally, working with regional and divisional colleagues to deliver the bank's strategic narrative
• Engage with international media on all matters related to the Group strategy and financial performance, and to contribute to high profile corporate events, such as quarterly results, Investor Day, AGM and Annual Report
• The opportunity to provide sensible counsel and strategic advice to key bank executives and corporate functions, working with their teams as well as Investor Relations
• High exposure in a vibrant environment, supported by a strong global team.
• An environment where it is equally important to deliver on an ad-hoc basis and under high pressure, as well as to work on long-term planning for key topics, supporting wider strategic objectives and aims

Your skills:

• Minimum 7 years' senior-level experience in either in-house or agency corporate communications work, with an awareness of how to deliver results in a matrix structure
• Proven ability to work with and provide strategic counsel and practical advice to senior bankers and management
• Strong relationships with key financial media and understanding of their requirements
• Clear ability to translate often complex financial materials into meaningful narratives
• Demonstrable crisis communications experience
• Ability to identify innovative and distinctive story ideas and place them actively in key media
• Ability to work within a high energy, high expectation, collaborative global culture, handling sensitive information under pressure
• Ability to multi-task, leading on-going projects as well as ad-hoc issues that demand immediate attention
• Familiarity with the financial services industry and understanding of the competitive landscape
• Excellent command of German and English, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Ambitious, hardworking individual with excellent judgment, instincts and the highest ethical standards
