Senior IFRS 17 Project Manager

Experis is currently supporting our client, a leading company in the finance sector, in their search for a Senior Project Manager. The role is to support the IFRS 17 & 9 Global Program to implement and go-live with the new IFRS accounting standard applicable to insurance contracts. Duration: 12 Months (with extension)

What you will do:

• Coordinate the quarterly IFRS 17 reporting activities, i.e. run preparation calls between Group functions and with all business units, monitor delivery during the quarterly production, identify and address risks and issues when they occur, manage closely interdependencies
• Provide clear direction towards different workstreams and business units, including on technical accounting/actuarial/systems matters
• Select and implement the appropriate project management methods
• Drive technical IFRS 17 & 9 working groups and discussions on accounting or actuarial matters

Your profile:

• Actuarial qualification (preferred) or accounting qualification
• Education in Program Managements - PMP or similar.
• Experience in executing waterfall and/or agile project management approaches
• 7+ years of experience in Financial Services industry or Financial Consulting
• Profound understanding of the end-to-end financial reporting of insurance companies
• Ideally knowledgeable in IFRS 17
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Aptitude to discuss and challenge key business and technical requirements and design topics
• Forward thinking in order to determine alternatives and practical solutions
• Ability to deal and communicate with a variety of stakeholders and good negotiation skills
