Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of an Oracle/ PowerCenter & Informatica component that, besides regulatory reporting, also provides trading and client data for analytical purposes
• Optimize existing inefficient jobs/queries/reports, code review work done by teammates to ensure high quality.
• Contribute to the reduction of toil by increasing automation and driving quality/resiliency improvements
• Collaborate with Ops and Dev teams globally to quickly resolve any production or data quality issues
• Providing PTA support

Challenges Contractor will be facing in this role:

• To resolve problems involving complex software systems in a sustainable way and in timely manner
• To find ways to make software improvements such as automation of manual tasks and performance tuning
• Need to comply with policies and standards typical of a large organization operating in a regulated industry

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

• +7 years of experience as SQL developer with a real passion for quality, good design, clean code and hands-on experience
• Knowledge of and practical experience with Relational Databases, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
• Performance tuning experience
• Good analytical skills
• Working knowledge of ETL tools (Informatica, PowerCenter) and control-m.
• You are agile-minded and ideally follower of Scrum/Kanban model.
• Familiarity with Unix servers, shell scripting and environment management

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
