One of our clients, a leading Medical Devices company located in Bern, is looking for a Production Planning Scheduler to join their team for a 12-month contract


Job summary:

The aim of this position is to develop and implement a production process based on ERP
for efficient flow of material and information.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and maintaining the production process in an ERP system for leading vaccine development programs
  • Developing the ERP production process (Process order, BoMs) in regard to transparency and accuracy for multiple products
  • Optimizing relevant ERP Master Data in accordance with local/global Master Data Strategy
  • Interacting and collaborating with key stakeholders to develop and maintain the master site production plan in line with customer requirements.
  • Prepares schedules and ensures timely completion of work orders for manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze product demand, forecasts. production specifications and plant capacity data.
  • Monitors planning modules or production planning system with current lead times, and related information.
  • Establishes effective communication with various groups such as customers and plant production departments and monitors orders from start to finish to ensure the on-time delivery of products.
  • Reviews capacity loads and identifies possible manufacturing constraints.
  • Monitors and anticipates production issues due to capacity and new product launches.
  • Expedites and secures parts needed for production. Ensures timely ordering and delivery of components to support manufacturing activities.
  • Prepares production reports.
  • Recommends revisions.
  • Participates in new product launch meetings and assist in developing new product forecasts and production schedules.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is desired. Advanced Degree and Supply Chain Certification e.g. APICS is preferred
  • 4-5 years relevant ERP (SAP) Production Planning experience (Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing) is required.
  • Experience in the implementation, development and execution of business planning and control systems of Advanced Planning Software
  • Customer focused. Results and performance driven.
  • Highly motivated, adaptable and flexible
  • Demonstrates Problem Solving and Analytical Capabilities
  • Ability to lead through Influencing in a Matrix - Organization
  • Proven business acumen in the areas of Supply Chain, Commercial and Financials.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Capable to adapt to changing circumstances and can implement change in a positive manner
