On behalf of one of our client, who's in the pharmaceutical industry, we're looking for a Plant Engineer Facilities & Utilities

Location: Neuchatel, Switzerland

Start date: ASAP

End date: 31/03/2026


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Multitasking and Cross-Functional Role:

  • Serve as a technical expert for supporting the delivery of complex projects across the entire site and organizational boundaries.

Primary Technical Contact:

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for technical aspects of critical installations such as HVAC systems, Water Systems (WFI), Cooling Systems and Loops, Chillers, Process Gases, and Building Utility Systems encompassing all critical GMP Utilities.

Quality and EHS Compliance:

  • Engage actively in investigations, deviations, and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) related to quality and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Engineering Practices (GEP), and regulatory standards such as SUVA/ASIT.

Leadership in Equipment and Plant Management:

  • Lead or support the design and qualification of improvements, changes, or upgrades to plant/equipment.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and approve the implementation of supplier interventions for Facility Utility (FU) equipment.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of a GMP environment - Engineering degree (BS, MS or equivalent) in mechanical, automation/technical engineering, biotechnology and/or in the appropriate sciences - chemistry, physics etc.
  • 5+ years experience in the Pharma/Biotech/Chimie or Energies industry - Good organization and communication skills
  • Project management

LANGUAGE AND IT SKILLS:

  • French and English (spoken and written), German a plus
  • PLC/Automation (Siemens, Johnson Controls or Allen Bradley) programming experience a plus
  • Good skills in using MS products
  • Word, Excel, Teams, Project, OneNote etc.
