Our client, a global Pharmaceutical compnay in Zurich is lookign for a Legal Counsel for a 6 month contract opportunity.

The Counsel ABP & International Support will be an important part of this team with the key objectives of:

• Providing legal assistance, amongst others, to clients from GMS' Associated Business Partners as well as for projects crossing different regions
• Being the Legal point of contact for dedicated plants and Quality clients, including day to day advise, dispute management, etc.
• Being the interface to GEM, Japan and US as well as E&C
• Extended Support for Small Molecule Unit
• Actively contributing to initiatives of global manufacturing and quality lawyer network (VPG).

In this role, you will be empowered to:

• Assist your clients and plants with legal support for all day to day matters
• Support on setting up Quality Templates and lead the implementation
• Day to day legal counseling, drafting and negotiation for all types of contracts incl. also templates
• Work in collaboration with colleagues from GMS, Procurement and the Legal Department
• On demand, coordinate and oversee disputes with internal colleagues or external law firms
• Drive relevant VPG projects (incl. the development and maintenance of the VPG Homepage) or dedicated tasks

Responsibilities:

• Supervises a variety of assigned tasks within its remit in coordination with the Head Counsel GMSGQ
• Partners with the clients and participates in important client meetings
• Liaises independently with colleagues from different regions/areas
• Demonstrates humility and approachability in encouraging others to challenge ideas and openly raise issues
• Pro-Actively develops improvement suggestions for the VPG GMSGQ and implements them

Decision Making & Autonomy:

• Makes decisions in alignment with the Head Counsel GMSGQ
• Ensures legal risks and business opportunities are properly balanced with sound risk management and under involvement of all relevant stakeholders
• Articulates clear legal recommendations with the clients and legal stakeholders
