Overview of contract:
On behalf of our client, a large bank in Zürich, we are looking for an IT Storage Engineer to join a fun and vibrant team.
This is a fixed term contract until 31.12.2023. Start date is ASAP.
Main responsibilities:
Ensure the operation, support, maintenance, and care of the central storage systems of HDS VSP5600 and Huawei Dorado 8000, as well as the SAN infrastructure (Cisco).
Capacity management and allocation of disks on the aforementioned systems.
Support on projects in the areas of: - Performance analysis - Data migration - Maintenance and extension of the self-developed tools in Pearl, Unix shell and Powershell.
Your expertise:
Very good knowledge of at least one of the enterprise storage systems mentioned
Experience with SAN configurations
HDS Device Manager CLI, CCI
Experience with ECS Object Storage from DellEMC is preferred
Excellent team player with good communication skills
Flexibility, as planned work often has to be carried out in the evening or at weekends
Business fluent English with a good level of German
