Finance Business Manager (50%)
Objective:
This position's responsibility is to be the Finance Business Manager for the site, responsible to oversee product costing for all stages of manufacturing at the site. The incumbent of this role will develop a deep understanding of the commercial manufacturing processes, have an intrinsic curiosity about the pharmaceutical industry, an eagerness to collaborate in solving complex business challenges, and a drive for continuous learning.
- As an agile partner, this role is decisive in all cost calculation operations for the site's products
- Manage the annual cost change process, including gathering inputs from various sources, assigning costs to products and presenting cost change impacts, ideas and solutions to Regional Finance and Business Partners
- Responsible for regular cost maintenance activities including new product codes, costing methodology updates, work order analysis
- Responsible for calculating the unit price of products in accordance with volume assumptions, company and business unit/regional policies and practicesss unit/regional policies and practices
- Carry out financial analyses, scenarios and decision aids in order to demonstrate the impact on the calculation of the cost price of products in the context of an investment or change of activity. Apply analysis to co-create innovative solutions that enable the site to achieve financial results
- Act as liaison between the site and the global product costing team
- Review monthly reports on production cost variances, CAU actuals and inventory write-downs, and provide analysis, including strategic proposals and present to the OpU
- Participate in the factory LRF process and MRP/MYC planning for production cost variance estimation, CAU estimation and pre-release inventory
- Designated as super user on TM1, SAP and JDE applications
- Be an internal consultant that is results oriented and independently solve complex problems with potential to impact the site. Expert on policies, trends and contemporary practices. Apply knowledge to co-create innovative solutions
- Translate complex decisions and change initiatives into prioritized and integrated processes
- Work with multiple departments, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Manufacturing Science to help set-up and determine the product costs with the responsibility to analyze, reconcile and report out. Foster team collaboration and flexibility in a team environment
- Liaise with Engineering for all CAPEX related matters and demonstrate strong expertise in financial management of Fixed Assets
- Assist with and ensure successful internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with SOX controls and audit support

- BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance. CMA, CPA, Masters in Finance or MBA education preferred
- Experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotech Industry, including cost accounting experience with exposure to manufacturing and/or supply chain
- Adept at scenario planning and predictive analytics driven forecasting
- Minimum of 7 years accounting/finance experience with strong cost accounting experience
- Experience in working with all levels and disciplines of people within a large organization
- Strong analytical skill with ability to analyze and understand large amounts of data
- Proficient systems skills (SAP, TM1, JDE, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written) and the ability to persuasively convey critical elements of complex issues
