For this assignment with 7 months duration (with opportunity for extension) based in Kanton Aargau we are in search of an English- and German-speaking candidate who is available in a short notice. Overview of the project:


- Execute strategic sourcing for assigned categories

- Improvement of supply-side quality and performance, supplier management, and product-specific audit support

- Initiate request for quotations in line with defined category management activities and draw up recommendations regarding suppliers

- Drive parts approval process in collaboration with technical and quality departments, in addition to supporting lean production and streamlining of costs

- Act as first point of contact for suppliers in all technical matters, address technical issues, and trigger escalation procedures wherever necessary

- Oversee operational excellence and supplier performance, implement programs to improve KPIs, and ensure compliance with various guidelines, including SOX

- Provide input relating to budgets, expenditure, and savings to support forecasting by category management

- Take over tasks from our Operational Buyer if needed(deputy function)

- Set up data in ERP system (SAP)


The skills and experience needed for this position are:


- Education in Engineering, Business Administration or Procurement (HF, FH) or Swiss federal certificate (e.g. Einkaufsfachmann / Einkaufsfachfrau)

- Education in basic mechanical know how

- Leadership experience

- Profound experience in project sourcing

- Proven track record in international sourcing with a strong focus on forward sourcing/sourcing projects

- Hands-on mentality, a results-oriented approach, and the ability to motivate team members at all levels

- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills together with excellent strategic and analytical abilities

- Strong command of English and German, both written and spoken, possibly complemented by additional foreign language skills
