On behalf of our client, a global leading institution, we are looking for a DBA PostgreSQL to join a dynamic IT team in Geneva.

Mission :

• Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL database systems on various platforms,
• Collaborate with developers and architects to design and optimize database structures, including tables, indexes, and constraints, for performance and scalability,
• Manage the database availability and performance,
• Implement and enforce security best practices, including encryption, authentication, and access controls. Stay up-to-date with security patches and updates,
• Monitor database resource usage and plan for capacity upgrades as needed. Scale the database infrastructure to accommodate growing data volumes,
• Diagnose and resolve database-related issues and incidents. Provide support to developers and other team members for query optimization and database-related challenges,
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline routine database tasks, such as backups, monitoring, and maintenance,

Technical Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience),
• Experience as a PostgreSQL Database Administrator or similar role,
• Strong understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS) and PostgreSQL architecture,
• Strong knowledge in SQL, PL/pgSQL, and scripting languages like Python or Shell,
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment,
• Certification in PostgreSQL administration is a plus),
• Fluent in French and English.
