Data Analyst (SQL-Python)

Responsibilities

-Plan, conceptualize, implement, and document the necessary UAT tests to be carried out to ensure the accuracy of the output from the tool

-Conduct manual testing of work-in-process development during the course of the development and provide feedback to developers

-Document the test execution and communicate with the developers regarding deviations from expected results

-Interact with the business team to define and priorities the defects based on priority and severity

-Provide training and guidance to the end-users prior to releases

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

1.4-5 years of experience in Business Analysis / Data analysis

2.Strong Excel and analytical skills are a must. These should extend beyond textbook knowledge and into the complexities of rapidly and consistently manipulating large data sets with limited hardware resource.

3.Ability to troubleshoot, document and communicate issues; translate between business needs into developments specifications. Must be able to rapidly assimilate both business and technical concepts and identify and communicate them to both business users and IT team

4.Software testing or quality assurance experience is a plus

5.Ability to work independently and mange one's time

6.Must be familiar with discussing both structured and unstructured data, different methods for combining them, and able to rapidly analyze and document complex data relationships

7.Experience of working directly with IT in real time to identify and resolve current production issues.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

1.Python knowledge in order to rapidly manipulate large datasets in an environment lacking the CPU/memory resource to process them in excel, compare datasets to file listings, generally automate implementation and testing of manual steps.

2.Previous experience working with AI/NLP

3.Experience working with Legal contractual data or risk data

4.Experience working with document digitization, familiarity with OCR techniques and Tesseract.

5.Experience accessing datasets through Qlik

6.Experience of "big data" software and techniques

7.Some experience of data solutions to enable accurate assessment of which tasks are genuinely complex and which are not
