On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced:

Senior Data Engineer - CMDB & Integration - Contract

Location: Zurich /fully remote

Type of employment: Contract: June 2025- January 2026, with possibility to extend.

Your responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and workflows using Apache Airflow.
  • Develop and optimize PL/SQL queries and stored procedures for the CMDB.
  • Utilize NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) to manage large volumes of configuration data.
  • Integrate data from diverse sources into the CMDB using MuleSoft and similar platforms.
  • Conduct data reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Develop and implement inventory data models based on the Common Information Model (CIM).
  • Design and implement ETL processes to populate and update the CMDB with accurate data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and align CMDB with business needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Document data processes, models, and configurations to support team collaboration and knowledge sharing.

What do you bring:

  • Proven experience in data engineering and data modeling
  • Proficient in Python, Perl, and PL/SQL
  • Solid understanding of SACM principles and tools (e.g., Microfocus Asset Manager)
  • Strong knowledge of the Common Information Model (CIM)
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow, NoSQL databases, and ETL processes
  • Integration experience using MuleSoft or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, iKube 2.0)
  • Strong skills in data reconciliation, data quality, and inventory modeling
  • Excellent problem-solving and collaboration abilities

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Salesforce MuleSoft integrations
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure inventory (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Leadership in system architecture or integration projects
