Network Engineer (6 Month Contract)

Overview of the position:
For our client, a large bank in Zurich, we are looking for a Network Engineer to join a fun and vibrant team.

This is a contract until November 2024 with high chance of extension, starting ASAP.

Tasks:
- Implementation, configuration and deployment of the defined network zone concept (network zoning)
- Configuration and management of checkpoint firewall clusters and affected network devices
- Analysis of the network, support of application management in the localization of application connections and definition of firewall rules
- Implementation, commissioning and management of the firewall & rules
- Implementation, commissioning and management of CISCO components

Profile:
- Minimum 5 years experience in network engineering
- Good experience with Checkpoint Firewall and Firewall Management
- Very good knowledge of network zoning and modern network technologies (VxLan)
- Good understanding of service design and architecture
- Good experience with Cisco hardware mandatory (WSA, ISE, router, switch)
- Qualification as CCNA is an advantage
- English is a must, German is an advantage
- Additional knowledge (Network Security Engineer)
