Experis IT Switzerland is currently on the search for an experienced Data Engineer to join one of our clients, a well renowned Swiss software company. For this contract engagement based in Zürich, we are seeking an English and German speaker who is immediately available.

Responsibilities:

• Develops, builds, maintains and orchestrates robust ETL workflows on GCP
• Builds data pipelines to ingest both structured and unstructured data to meet business requirements
• Configures and deploys tools for data analytical purposes on GCP
• Works closely with the Data Science team to prepare data for processing
• Identifies ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality
• Collaborates effectively with team members (DevOps, Data Architect, Data Scientist) to clarify requirements
• Tackles challenges and solve complex problems on a daily basis
• Supports junior Data Engineer

Qualifications / Technical Skills:

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficient in Google Cloud Platform services, especially those related to data processing and analytics.
• Strong experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and Apache Beam
• Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and big data technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Certification in GCP or related technologies is a plus.

• Salesforce Bulk API
