Particularly, you should bring expertise in the areas of BUILD and RUN to meet global business requirements and successfully tackle challenges.

The IS infrastructure organization for Electrification is embarking on the journey of accelerated adoption of cloud-based infrastructure solutions within the Electrification business area. To support the business on this journey, the Cloud Infrastructure Solution Architect will assist in the adoption of Google and Azure cloud-based IT landscapes within the EL organization by providing application teams and business units with the associated cloud architecture vision and direction and ensuring the technical and commercial feasibility of cloud-related initiatives. In parallel, the Cloud Solution Architect will contribute internally within the EL IS infrastructure architecture community on topics such as architecture standardization, security, compliance, automation, service continuity, and cost optimization across cloud platforms and associated technologies, thus contributing to the overall strategy and goals of the EL business.

Your Responsibilities:

• Support the cloud strategy of the EL-IS infrastructure by defining and making productive new standardized cloud-based solutions.
• Ensure EL standardized cloud solutions are considered by project and business teams.
• Develop and optimize Google and Azure infrastructure architecture for ABB Electrification and its operating companies.
• Identify and develop EL-wide cloud standards in collaboration with local EL-IS delivery teams and partners.
• Drive initiatives to evaluate, test and adopt cloud-native services at scale.
• Accelerate the implementation of cloud infrastructure automation and DevOps based service models.
• Support the definition and maintenance of architecture roadmaps for cloud platforms and related technologies
• Provide technical expertise to business and IT projects to ensure successful deployments
• Support the delivery organization in identifying areas of improvement related to cloud technology
• Ensure technology compatibility with existing solutions and strategic directions.

Must-Have Skills:

• Degree in Computer Science, Science or Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent experience with at least 8 years of solution architecture for IS infrastructures, including 4 years in the cloud.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in translating business requirements into cost-effective IS solutions.
• Certification and/or extensive experience with Google and Azure cloud platforms, TOGAF an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in English, including interpersonal and counseling skills.
• Experience in design, integration and management of complex infrastructure and cloud solutions based on GCP and Azure.
• Good understanding of networking concepts and solutions, disaster recovery solutions, on-premise to cloud migration.
• Strong experience in the development and documentation of infrastructure architectures and roadmaps.
• Experience with infrastructure and process automation on-premise and in the cloud.
• Broad understanding of architecture and IT service frameworks, customization to increase efficiency.
• Strong software architecture skills with focus on architecture across multiple applications/domains.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and apply them to real-world business requirements.
• Very strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships at all levels.
• Experience in implementing DevOps model within the organization an advantage.
• Ability to formulate solutions at a conceptual level.
