Overview of contract
On behalf of our client, a leading financial services institution in Zürich, we are looking for Applications Consultant. This is a 06-month contract based in Zürich.
- Lead the installation and upgrade activities of IBM OP on Windows operating systems and Oracle databases.
- Utilize your strong knowledge of IBM packages and software part numbers to guide and facilitate the installation process, providing expertise and troubleshooting errors that may arise during installation.
- Ensure the successful installation and configuration of IBM OP, following best practices and adhering to established guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute upgrades from version 184.108.40.206.2 to 220.127.116.11, addressing known vulnerability issues.
- Perform upgrades from version 18.104.22.168 to 8.3.x, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to the system.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of the upgraded system to verify its stability, functionality, and compatibility with other systems and applications.
- Document the installation and upgrade processes, including step-by-step instructions, configurations, and troubleshooting guidelines.
- Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders and end-users, addressing their inquiries and resolving any issues related to IBM OP installation and upgrades.
- Stay updated with the latest developments and best practices in IBM OP installation and upgrades and share knowledge and insights with the team.
- Strong knowledge and expertise in IBM OP installation and upgrades on Windows operating systems and Oracle databases.
- Familiarity with IBM packages and software part numbers, enabling you to guide and troubleshoot installation processes effectively.
- Experience with Cognos installation and upgrades, understanding the dependencies and requirements for a successful installation.
- Proficiency in performing upgrades from version 22.214.171.124.2 to 126.96.36.199, addressing vulnerability issues, and from version 188.8.131.52 to 8.3.x.
- In-depth understanding of system compatibility, stability, and performance considerations during the installation and upgrade processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during installation or upgrades.
- Excellent documentation skills, allowing you to create clear and detailed instructions and guidelines for future reference.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical support to stakeholders and end-users.
- Fluent in English & French, both written & verbal is MUST
