On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for a Sustainability Risk Project Analyst.

Overview of the project:

  • This department has the objective to help establish, govern, and monitor Risk Appetite Frameworks for Climate, Sustainability and Reputational Risk and provide insight to Senior Management about existing and emerging risks in the portfolio and how to mitigate them.
  • The function sits within Credit Risk Management as a result of a new strategy to further integrate the Credit Risk and Reputational Risk processes and to manage total "client risk" on a more holistic basis.
  • The Climate Risk Program in particular is developing frameworks and approaches on how to measure climate risk, align to industry-wide trajectories to reduce emissions at sectorial levels, and to inform strategy-setting of the client in light of potential climate risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve First and Second Line of Defence (FLOD and SLOD) control frameworks via design, rollout and, if applicable, execution of controls.
  • Support Climate Risk Project team via dedicated research, data gathering and analysis, and preparation of senior management presentations based on defined deliverables for 2022.

Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in Project Risk Analysis
  • Sufficient knowledge of and/or previous experience working with sustainability risk topics
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Stakeholder management
  • Experience designing and rolling out controls in an organization
  • Data handling
  • Previous experience working with credit risk and/or sustainability risk topics preferred.
  • Agile working style, characterized by fast pace and willingness to accept uncertainty in initial analyses.
  • Knowledge of banking industry and key regulators
