Duration: 1 year - chance of contract extension

Location: Bern

Workload percentage: 100%

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure and manage software and their functions according to specifications
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software
Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware.
Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting
Troubleshoot issues with equipment and connections in tactical platforms and lab environments
Operating measuring equipment for radio, intercom & communication systems in tactical platforms & lab environment

Your Skills:

Preferred associate's degree or a post-secondary certificate.
2+ years' experience of working on an IT Technician or other relevant position
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
Preferred Hands on Experience with operation of Tactical IT and communication in Military environment (tactical platforms)
A+, Linux+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate accreditation advantageous.
Certification as IT Technician٫ such as e.g. CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional٫ will be a bonus
Experience with routers and switches networks: OSPF, IGMP, multicast
Experience work with Linux OS: Centos, ALMA & Ubuntu
Experience operating OVS and networking on 2 & 3 layer
