Key Responsibilities:

• The dedicated department develops and operates platforms and channels for media users and redistributors of the offerings in close collaboration with experts from specialists from the distribution, audience and content departments. The department is made up of seven interdisciplinary, agile and self-organised teams.
• The App Team is responsible for the further development of the Sport, News and Meteo apps
• Proactively shaping the app landscape for a customer base of over half a million Swiss people.
• Development of the two apps: News and Sport and support with the
• new development of the Meteo app
• Regular app releases in consultation with other company units (web team,
• business development, management)
• Active contribution of new technical and methodological impulses

Your Skills:

• At least 3 years of experience in the development of native Android apps in Kotlin and high
• Understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of different programming paradigms: Functional, object-orientated, imperative/declarative, procedural, stateful/stateless (reactive)
• Practical experience in the use of the most common software architecture patterns as well as sound knowledge of the Android internals/frameworks
• Enjoy working with various new technologies and tools: Jetpack (Compose, Navigation, Room), Webview/WebKit, Coroutines & Flows, Dagger/Hilt, Moshi, Retrofit, CI/CD with Github & Bitrise, Firebase, Atlassian, and much more.
• Test-Driven Development approach, Pair Programming, XP, Peer Reviews are also for you Pillars of success in development
• German fluent speaking is considered as a plus and English for internal communication is a must.
