Security Engineer - PAM & Vault Solutions

Overview of contract

On behalf of our client, a large bank in Switzerland, we are looking for a Security Engineer.

Location: Zurich

Start date: Immediately

Duration: 12 months - with possibility of extension/ internalization

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the development of architecture, concepts, and processes for IT security, focusing on PAM and Vault solutions.
Design, engineer, implement, and support the introduction of new PAM and Vault solutions (e.g., Delinea, HashiCorp) into the bank's IT infrastructure.
Create necessary project and operation documents.
Implement automation scripts using APIs of various infrastructure systems (e.g., IAM, uCMDB), leveraging tools such as Ansible, Python, Bash/shell, Terraform, and GIT.
Collaborate with service stakeholders to analyze and define required features.
Independently assess and prioritize the resolution of outstanding tasks and requests.
Implement and maintain improvements and new features for IT security services.
Analyze and solve errors, incidents, and troubleshoot user issues.
Maintain technical documentation, primarily using Confluence.
Ensure best practices are applied across all activities.
Participate in on-call duty as required.

Required skills:

University degree or higher technical education.
2nd and 3rd level engineering and/or operational experience with IT Security Services.
Experience in highly regulated and complex environments.
Strong Windows and Linux administration skills.
Experience with automation and scripting tools (Ansible, Python, Bash/shell, Terraform, GIT, REST, Regular Expressions).
Expertise in one or more PAM/Vault products (Delinea, HashiCorp); knowledge of Zscaler, PKI, or Multifactor Authentication is an advantage.
Certificates in IT Security products are a plus.
Highly proactive, solution- and results-oriented with strong abstract and conceptual thinking skills.
Team-oriented, collaborative, and capable of independent work.
Fluent in English, German is a plus.
