Overview of contract
On behalf of our client, a leading financial services institution in Zürich, we are looking for a L2 Application Support / Operation Engineer.
Location: Zurich
Start date: To be decided
Duration: 12 months - with possibility of extension
Main responsibilities:
* Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the application systems in operation
* Identifying and troubleshooting application issues and issues resolution or escalation
* Performing system updates
* Analysing results and quality assessments
Your skills:
* Completed IT training (Degree in Computer Science or other IT related certification)
* At least 2 years of professional experience in application support
* Good Unix know-how (shell scripting is an advantage)
* Knowledge of Windows OS at server level
* Knowledge of Java application server / database / AWA is an advantage
* ITIL Foundation certification
* Ideally, experience in banking with a knowledge of financial products
* Process-oriented and analytical approach
* Excellent communication skills in English, and basic knowledge of German
