Overview of contract

On behalf of our client, a large bank in Switzerland, we are looking for a Firewall Engineer.

Location: Zürich
Start date: 01.07.2024
Duration: 1 year - with possibility of extension

Main responsibilities

• Develop and maintain support processes and tools for the global firewall infrastructure.
• Configure and maintain the authorization rules for the access to security devices.
• Enhance and automating of recurring firewall operating tasks
• Management and operation of the Firewall infrastructure (i.e., HW/SW Maintenance, Policy, and Rules)
• Provide 1st and 2nd level support for the Network Firewall, VPN and IPS infrastructure.
• Create concepts and technical designs for new or changed customer requirements, as well as for the further development of Network Security Firewall, VPN and IPS solutions and services.
• Ensure adequate know-how transfer to relevant stakeholders, e.g., by maintaining the service documentation and by carrying out presentations / learning sessions.

Your skills:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience with at least 5 years in configuration and troubleshooting of enterprise network Firewall infrastructures (e.g., Fortinet)
• Experience working in an international and fast paced environment.
• Distinctive methodological skills in relation to the analysis and visualization of complex issues
• A strong team player and solution-oriented with an efficient and independent way of working
• Can work under pressure and extended time to achieve the common goal.
• Well versed in network security authentication and compliance tools (i.e., LDAP, RADIUS, Cloud based auth, AlgoSec)
• Relevant experience with Linux scripting is an advantage
