Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain database systems for high availability and scalability.
Ensure database systems operate efficiently and without error.
Manage database access, develop processes for optimizing database queries.
Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, recovery, and patching.
Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.
Work closely with development teams to integrate databases with existing applications.
Provide support for web-application development from a database perspective.
Optimize the performance of the database environment using tuning and monitoring tools.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in database management, AWS services, and web-application development.

Must-Have Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
3-5 years of experience working as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
3-5 years of hands-on experience with MongoDB, including database design, performance tuning.
Experience with AWS services related to database management and deployment.
Proficiency in Java, HTML5, and the development of web-applications.
Familiarity with data privacy and protection guidelines.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Certifications in MongoDB, AWS, or other relevant technologies would be a plus.
Experience with other database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) is a plus.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
