For our client, we are looking for a committed and experienced Data Engineer (m/f/d) to strengthen the team in Zurich. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop innovative digital solutions that enhance the performance and sustainability of our client's operations.

Work model: Hybrid (Home office by agreement)

Responsibilities
- Design and Development: You will design and develop customized digital platform components that optimize the operational processes of our clients.
- Monitor Machine Fleets: Participate in our industry segment team to implement advanced tools and analytical models, mainly in the backend.
- Promote Innovation: Contribute creative ideas and push the boundaries of our business.
Requirements:
- Technical Excellence: Proven experience in building highly available, scalable, and cost-efficient software systems.
- Programming Skills: Strong knowledge of Java or Python; experience with Scala and reactive programming is a plus.
- Platform Expertise: At least 3 years of experience with microservices, distributed systems, messaging brokers, and event processing (Apache Spark, Flink, or Beam).
- Cloud and Container Technologies: Solid understanding of cloud environments (ideally AWS) and containerized technologies like Kubernetes.
- Database Knowledge: Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases.
- Tech Enthusiast: Passion for new technologies, especially in the area of turbomachinery.
- Agile Mindset: Experience in test-driven development environments and international collaboration.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English; basic German skills for effective collaboration.
