Senior PM / PMO - Financial Services industry

Location: Zurich
Start: ASAP
Duration: 8+ months
Languages: English, German (nice to have)

Our client is a Swiss company with international presence, headquartered in Zurich, which is active in the financial services industry.
We are now looking for a Senior PM / PMO resource for an important project. For this contract position based in Zürich, our client is looking for an English speaking (German highly beneficial) speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible.

Task & Responsibilities:
- Manage and provide structure within project management team
- Ensure project management standards are followed
- Source of guidance and advice for project managers
- Maintain all management agreements and prepare reports
- Perform financial analysis on all budgets and prepare various reports for all budget forecast
- Perform regular project status calls on weekly and monthly basis
- Prepare slides
- Summarize meetings
- Gathering requirements analysis requirements and translate the business requirements into a Business Requirement document which can be used by IT
- Put together documentation for training

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide proactive support to the Project Manager, PMO Lead, Roll-in Project Manager and PMO team
  • Ensure high quality, timely materials are prepared for all key meetings
  • Ensure ad hoc information requests are efficiently recorded, monitored and delivered on time
  • Ensure Roll-in Manager has sufficient support to develop Roll-in plan, change management and training plans



Required Experience / Skills:

  • Strong PM/ PMO Skills (5+ yrs exp.)
  • Works comfortably in fast-paced environment with moving priorities and last-minute requests
  • Previous experience in implementation projects
  • University/College degree in Finance, IT or comparable
  • Basic understanding of finance in a Reinsurance/Insurance environment
  • Experience in Project Management and related methodologies
  • Experience working in an agile scrum environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage and work with an international team
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills
  • Very good knowledge of MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint
