Overview of contract
On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for an experienced German speaking Java Developer to join a team who maintain the stability and performance within the tax reporting team and who over the next 12 months will migrate to Azure cloud.
This is a 12-month project, based in Zurich
Main responsibilities
- Align and coordinate with other agile teams within Tax Solutions, Technical Infrastructure, Business and Operations stakeholders
- Involved in the implementation of change requests, ranging from impact assessment to solution deployment with the main focus on design/development of the applications as well as integration of the vendor product
- Remediate technical debts, drive continuous improvements of design, performance, and stability
- Provide 3rd level support to business users as well as the operations team, and support the production of the various tax reports.
- Manage releases, TCO, and lifecycle of the application, which includes a migration from local Java platform to public Azure Cloud.
Your skills:
- 8+ years of experience in JAVA based software development and integration
- Hands-on experience in Java 8, JUnit 5, JEE 7/8 (EJB 3, JMS 2, JPA 2), Spring, Oracle 19, XML, TypeScript, REST, HTML5, Angular, JSON
- Strong customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Working knowledge with IntelliJ IDE, Maven, GIT, EA Enterprise Architect, SoapUI, PL/SQL Developer, Azure Cloud/SQL, Kubernetes
- Experience with agile methodology (Scrum)
- Very good verbal and written communication skills in German and a good command of English
