For one of our clients, specialized in the pharmaceutical area with HQ in Basel, we are looking for a Data Visualization Expert with previous experience in a pharmaceutical company.
This is a challenging contracting position starting in March 2020 until the end of the year with extension possibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to work with large amounts of information and see the 'bigger picture'
- Establish data visualization standards and develop new, cutting-edge tools
- Develop intuitive and attractive static and interactive data visualizations
- Distill quantitative and qualitative data to communicate compelling stories to diverse audiences
- Development of different types of visualization products
- Collaborate with multiple diverse groups and across diverse teams
Requirements:
- A PhD in a Data Visualization/Graphic Design discipline
- 5+ years of experience as a data visualization expert
- Strong software development skills (D3.js Typescript)
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as D3.js, Plotly, HTML Canvas etc.
- Proven experience working in a multicultural geographically distributed team
- Strong analytical skills combined with conceptual thinking and structured working style
- Strong communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB
- Project-based work experience in the pharmaceutical industry
