Contract in Basel - Network Operations Engineer

Our client, a financial organization in Basel Switzerland, is looking for a Network Operations Engineer to join them on a long-term assignment:

Contract position

Start date: latest, November 2020

1-year duration, with extension possibilities

Based in Basel, Switzerland

Tasks:

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for Incident Management / ticket resolution for the Networks and Data Centre team
• Processing Change Management requests
• Network troubleshooting and fault analysis
• Deployment and maintenance of network monitoring, analysis and reporting tools.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support as part of a wider team

Skills:

• Experience with ServiceNow or other related ticketing tool
• Experience with network devices (routers, switches, load balancers) and knowledge of network routing protocols
• Experience with Palo Alto firewall policies
• Knowledge of Cisco UC, including Jabber and Webex
• Familiar working in a data centre environment
• Knowledge of fibre and DWDM systems
• Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios preferred)
• Experience and knowledge of ITIL-based processes
