Spring Cloud AWS Expert Developer - Remote position

On behalf of a leading pharmaceutical company in Switzerland, I am looking for a SpringCloud AWS Expert Developer. This is a remote contract position. If you are interested in this role, then please check the criteria below:

Your Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Ensure high performance of the platform as it scales to a cloud enterprise solution
• Wisely enforce parallelization as needed
• Backend development of the platform
• Improve the code quality with smart and sustainable automated testing strategies
• Participate in technical decision makings
• Proactively collaborate with a team comprising of informatics experts, software engineers and life science experts

What you must have:

• At least M.Sc in Computer Science or similar discipline
• +5 years professional Microservice / SpringCloud software development expertise
• Extensive experience in test-driven software development
• Deep knowledge of SpringBoot (including SpringBatch & SpringBoot Autoscaler)
• Performance Monitoring experience
• Strong working knowledge of best coding practices (TDD/BDD, pair-programming)
• Experience with continuous integration/delivery ecosystems (Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins)
• Strong analytical skills combined with conceptual thinking and structured working style
• Ability to work in a multicultural geographically distributed team
• Strong communication skills with fluent in English

Nice to haves:

• Experience with Big Data
• Experience with MongoDB
• Previous working experience within an AGILE environment (ideally SCRUM)
• DevOps experience

• Start date: ASAP
• End date: 31.12.2019 with extension possibilities
• Location: remote
• Workload: 100%
• Travel: Potentially 1-2 travels per year for team building workshops.
