Senior Project Manager - Workday Payroll Implementation
On behalf of our client, a leading global company within life science, we are looking for Senior Project Manager with proven experience with implementing Workday across non-US countries.
This contract position runs until April 2018 and is based in Zug, Switzerland. Our client is looking for an English (any other languages is a plus) speaking candidate who can start immediately. Description of the role:
The consultant will be the project manager for an implementation of a new Payroll solution for all the company's non-US countries. This resource will be fully accountable for successful project delivery. This person is responsible for the overall planning, management and execution for the project. This project primarily serves the IT, HR and Finance organizations and the position will report directly to the IT Portfolio Manager and dotted line to the HR IT Functional Lead and the HR Business Lead.
The Project Manager is responsible for successful project delivery to meet business outcomes, which includes developing a well-structured project plan that clearly defines the scope, resource requirements, timeline, and budget for the project. This Project Manager will have experience implementing payroll solutions in Europe or other Non-US countries.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Develop the overall project schedule and project management plan. Monitor, challenge and ensure predictable delivery of projects - driving accountability of work stream owners and enabling escalation of risks and issues that require assistance or attention. Monitor resources, either internal from associated IT Department or external are secured to meet project needs.
Ensure projects are delivered according to committed scope, approved budget and targeted dates. Ensure high level of quality in solutions is delivered. Lead various program governance meetings including routine core team / program office meetings as well as escalation, steering and sponsor reviews. Facilitate critical program reviews. Ensure all aspects of the program's success are contemplated and addressed. Enable and enhance communications between Solution Delivery, Infrastructure & Operations and the IT functional leadership areas.
The skills and experience needed for this position are:
* Experience implementing Payroll Solutions in Non-US countries* Implementing solutions with multiple integrations a plus* 5+ years' experience working as an IT professional - ideally working on and/or managing projects and/or workstreams.* 3+ years' experience implementing project solutions. * Experience working with and managing a large Systems Integration partner preferred.* Experience implementing projects within established software development life cycle methodologies. Life science experience is a plus
