On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for a Senior Java Developer with proven experience working on cutting edge technologies.
Overview of the project:
- We are seeking for an Application Developer within the Execution and Agency Products, Funds Execution IT team who will be developing new applications and extending existing applications towards the strategic architecture.
- All tasks are related with the entire lifecycle of product development
- Development of new applications in the area of trade management applications
- Transformation of legacy applications to Micro-services
- Automated build, packaging and deployment process for production deployments.
Responsibilities:
- Writing applications responsible for Order and Trade Management, especially Funds Execution
- Working with other team members on the requirements, preparing the releases and delivering the applications to production
- Continuous integration testing and related documentation updates
- Actively participate in the design and technology review of the applications written in the team
- Provide support for the existing systems where required
Skills:
- Over 5 years of experience as a Java developer; specifically, Java 8+ and Spring Boot
- Proven experience with Micro-services
- A very thorough understanding of Java technology fundamentals and design patterns used in real-time transaction processing systems
- High level of experience with low latency platform (developing low latency, high availability multithreaded code)
- Very good understanding of Object-oriented design and programming
- Experience with all phases of the software/system lifecycle process
- Experience in test automation (unit, integration, acceptance tests etc.)
- Demonstrable experience of good OO design and programming
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and written/verbal communication skills - English a must, German an advantage.
