Senior Compensation and Benefits specialist

Your Role

  • Managing executive hires, redeployments, promotions, demotions and terminations across the globe including contract management and restrictive covenants in terms of remuneration in close cooperation with local HR / compensation colleagues
  • Managing of annual remuneration cycle for LT population including benchmarking activities and salary reviews, documentation for LT year-end calibration and model financial impact of remuneration programs, especially variable pay plans
  • Managing processes regarding Key Risk Takers, including disclosure requirements, remuneration analysis etc.
  • Providing thought leadership on current and emerging trends and issues in executive remuneration and collaborate with relevant stakeholders regarding implementation
  • Responding to ad hoc requests for analysis in support of executive remuneration programs or any other projects and initiatives
  • Developing and preparing Board of Director and Remuneration Committee materials as they relate to executive remuneration
  • Managing remuneration to other human resources processes, such as succession planning
  • Contributing pro-actively to the Total Rewards Community at Zurich as one of the senior roles within the Total Rewards Center of Expertise.

Your Skills

  • Master Degree or equivalent, Professional certification in Compensation, e.g. CCP, GRP preferred
  • 10+ years of professional experience in the field of Human Resources, managerial and leadership experience, of which 7+ years in executive remuneration and ideally experience in the insurance or financial industry
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills, coupled with ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Very strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and balance competing priorities
  • Strong customer service skills, focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to cope with ambiguity
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; any other language is an asset
  • Experience of working within complex global organisations
  • Industry and market knowledge, including understanding of current and upcoming regulatory, market, competitive trends
  • Effectively working in a global, culturally diverse, team
  • Excellent skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
