For this assignment we are in search of an English- and German-speaking candidate. Start is 12.04.2021, duration- 9 months with very high opportunity of extension. Our client based in Schaffhausen offers a great workplace, very competitive salary and challenging, but at the same time varied daily tasks. Please have a look at the details.

Overview of the project:

- Conduct yearly negotiations with main supplier, periodically renew price lists and frame agreements.

- Conduct regular RFQs and benchmarks. Lead cost reduction projects with the integration of new strategic partners into the local supply base.

- Develop and maintain Supplier Value Rating process, overseeing supplier performance in terms of costs, service (delivery), quality and lead time.

- Conduct period updates on the ABC-XYZ classification, define and implement the strategy for AX and AY parts. With A-parts suppliers, negotiate and implement consignment stock or supplier safety stock, therefore contributing to the overall reduction of inventory.

- Support to category management

- Prepare forecasts

- Contract implementation activities and monitoring of stock levels of critical parts

- Maintenance of PowerBI reporting dashboards for Procurement Team

The skills and experience needed for this position are:

- A specific degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering

- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement/supply chain management, working as procurement/supply chain management specialist

- Good knowledge of MS Office

- Knowledge of SAP, SAP Ariba is a plus

- German (C2 level) and English language skills business fluent

- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills

Travel:

- The basic availability for business travel is expected

- The amount of business travel is currently less than 10%.
