On behalf of our client, we are looking for an Oracle DWH Engineer with a technical background who would like to take part in conceptual tasks for an exciting project at one of our big banking clients.

Overview of the project:

• Following a recently completed migration project to Oracle 19c on Exadata, our client is now ready for a follow-up project in 2021 that will focus on security & control and enabling applications to evolve and adopt database design patterns that best leverage the native capabilities of the Oracle Exadata platform.

Responsibilities:

• Interface between customers (application teams) and database operations.
• Maintain and extend the standard architecture documents and guidelines for the DWH platform
• Advise on security and control implementation questions on a DWH platform.
• Support applications in decisions concerning suitable data structures for optimal performance and compression on Exadata.
• Develop new archiving concept leveraging new Exadata storage options.
• Improve the configurations of the new infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
• Review and verify capacity plan based on current growth trends
• Provide architectural guidance in modernizing the DWH platform for integration with new data sources such as the Data Lake and use of automated test environment provisioning.

Skills:

• Over 6 years of experience with Enterprise Data Warehousing
• Proven experience with Oracle Exadata Architecture (Deep understanding of the Oracle 19c)
• Over 4 years of experience with Database Design for Analytics Type Applications
• Security & Compliance Expertise (Oracle Auditing, Security, Access Control)
• Archive / Data Lifecycle Concepts experience

Beneficial skills:

• ETL Solutions (Informatica PowerCenter, others)
• Big Data Technologies (Hadoop)
• Infrastructure Automation experience
