Office Relocation Project Manager

Are you a qualified and experienced Office Relocation Project Manager with 6+ years of experience in managing large sized office move projects and looking for an exciting new opportunity within an NGO ? If so, please have a look at the following details:

Experis IT Switzerland is currently on the search for an Office Relocation Project Manager to join one of their clients, an NGO, based in Geneva.

Your role:

The Office Relocation Project Manager will cover 2 phases of the project, the preparation for the move and the move itself. The role will be integrated into the Construction and IT work stream teams, under the management of the work stream leads.

Your responsibilities:

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders in meeting project objectives;
  • Coordinate all aspect of the project related to the office and IT infrastructure move;
  • Work with the Construction and IT Work stream team members and other stakeholders to analyse and formalize business requirements, develop business cases, define the project plan with the stakeholders, update accordingly and tract its progress;
  • Organize the communication and manage all subcontractors intervening on the project;
  • Identify dependencies and coordinate issue resolution;
  • Proactively manage risks and mitigation;

Deliverables:

  • Project master plan and schedule for the move (including timings, milestones and resources)
  • Filing survey report
  • Sticker based tracking system
  • Move guidelines for staff
  • Methodological guide destined for staff explaining the correct wrapping procedures for personal items
  • Meet the predefined move timeline (ie. all staff and possessions are physically moved to the new premises)

Essential requirements

  • Minimum BA
  • Fluent in English and French (written and oral).
  • 6+ years of experience managing similar sized office move projects, ideally with minimum 2 years in Switzerland
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with Management and subcontractors
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities;
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, proactivity and coordination skills; and
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in-time and under pressure.
