Mid-Office Operations Specialist (limited term 100%)

Location: Zurich

Contract role: 6 months

Experis IT Switzerland is urgently looking for a Business Analyst to join one of their clients in Zurich, a globally renowned organization with a fantastic brand! For this role we are looking for a candidate ideally with experience in a similar role to start as soon as possible who can speak fluent English and German.

On offer:

  • International and multicultural environment in a young and dynamic investment accounting team within the operational mid-office asset management in Zurich
  • Responsibility for reconciliation of daily cash and security positions as well as derivatives and FX for managed funds and mandates
  • Review, process and monitor all corporate actions and entitlement transactions, review notifications from the internal and external custodians and provide portfolio management with accurate and reliable corporate actions information
  • Monitor the clearing and affirmation process of OTCs, reconciliation of ETDs, validation of margin calls, dispute management
  • Check, instruct and monitor trade instructions to custodians until settlement for all instrument types
  • Investigation and troubleshooting of issues with internal and external parties such as portfolio managers, other operations teams and custodians worldwide
  • Point of contact for internal and external inquiries in relation to operational service excellence

Experience/Skills required:

  • Apprenticeship in banking or in other commercial area
  • At least 5 years of experience in the area of mid- and/or back office in asset management, global custody business and/or any other operations area, e.g. corporate actions, reconciliation, derivatives, settlement
  • Experience in securities administrations, great flair of numbers, good knowledge of MS Office products
  • Expertise in daily operations processes, market knowledge and best practices
  • Throughout understanding of data/information flows across Front-Mid-Back office applications & departments in Asset Management
  • Distinct team-spirit and ability to work to solve problems
  • Independent, accurate and structured working method
  • Fluent in German and English
