One of our clients, a leader in the Medical Devices industry, is looking for a Liaison Manager for a 7-month contract based in Zug, Switzerland.

Job summary

You will be responsible for the coordination of a global team of 4 SME and 7 Quality Engineers to manage End to end Supplier Quality for around 2000 Suppliers. You are to be the link between 2 parts: The Contractors (Quality Engineers and SME) executing daily Quality tasks related to the Direct Material Supplier and the client's Business teams (including mainly Direct Material Suppliers Quality team, Supply chain procurement, R&D teams and Quality and Compliance teams)

Your tasks & responsibilities

  • Manage the Global team (11 people) and Direct Material Suppliers performance (around 2000)
  • Train, Manage and Lead the Quality Engineering team and SME.
  • Ensure the appropriate resources are in place.
  • Manage the performance of the contractor and ensure the work can be/is completed by:
  • Coordinating and when necessary re distributing the work load of the contractors
  • collaborating with appropriate team(s) to understand internal processes related to Direct Material and translating them into actionable tasks for contractors.
  • identifying and providing solution to contractor to fix potential road blocks
  • escalating to high management issue when needed - by defining and following governance process

Essential Functions

  • Define key accountabilities and/or activities. List most complex or difficult parts of job first and indicate percentage of time required to perform each task
  • Collaborate with appropriate team(s) to understand updated internal processes related to Direct Material and translate them into actionable tasks for contractors.
  • Identify and Provide solution to contractors to fix potential road blocks, including Supplier reliability issues management
  • Manage escalation and governance process

What you must have

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree (BA/BS) (degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Law, Business studies, Engineering or similar is preferred)
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, OTC Drug, Cosmetic and/or Food and Dietary Supplements Industry is required (Preferably in a Direct Material Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, Quality Systems or Quality Control related role)
  • Experience in a people leader role
  • Experience with project management experience is required for management of governance, Project financials and Supplier reliability issues.
  • Proven experience working with Senior Leadership is required for implementation of new reporting structure / KPI development / stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point applications
  • Fluent in English
