1st and 2nd Deskside/Desktop Support

On behalf of our client, a pharmaceutical organization in Zug, we are seeking a 1st and 2nd line deskside/desktop support technician. Are you a desktop support technician who is looking for a new and exciting challenge? If yes, then please have a look at the details below:

Your role:

  • Laptop imaging and user setup
  • New Hire onboarding, training and support. You will provide IT orientation and relevant documentation to all new hires.
  • Providing full desk-side support, including troubleshooting issues related to Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Proactively recommending procedures and controls to prevent problems
  • Asset and inventory management
  • Organizing and managing events and providing IT support for these events
  • Assisting in use of AV equipment such as Cisco Spark, MX300, DX80 VC Units
  • Providing both onsite and remote support (e-mail and phone)
  • Occasional travel in support of client's events
  • Swapping and upgrading keyboards
  • Working and providing onsite support with customer's central IT/network
  • Resolving computer connectivity, phone system, phone device, and video codec issues

Your profile:

  • You are fluent in German
  • You have working experience with both computer and network technologies such as
    • Laptop imaging and user setup
    • Windows diagnostic tools and CMD
    • Network connectivity diagnostics
    • Active Directory
    • Microsoft Office/Office 365, Outlook
    • Shared network drives
    • Group policies and GP updates
    • Video conferencing
    • WebEx
    • Cisco any Connect VPN Client and Cisco Telephony
    • Wireless connectivity issues
    • Backup solutions and restore procedure
    • Jabber account setup
    • OKTA
    • Box
  • You have experience in Active Directory administration
  • You are an analytical thinker with great problem-solving skills
  • You effectively prioritize, organize, and manage multiple responsibilities at once
  • You are friendly, outgoing, and have excellent interpersonal skills
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills
