IT Business Analyst (Investment process/ products)

On behalf of our client, a leading bank in Zürich, we are looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst with good investment process and products experience. For this contract position based in Zurich in Switzerland our client is looking for an English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible. Role:

  • We are looking for an IT Business Analyst/ Requirements Engineer for exciting new upcoming initiatives around the topics advisory process, robo-advice, investment planning and portfolio optimization. Our global platform in the portfolio advisory and monitoring area is a key part of the banks advisory process.
  • The client plans a leap forward in the topic automated advice (robo-advice). The project has the highest management attention and the timeline of the project will be challenging.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and analyse business requirements (data sources, interfaces, business logic and processes) and work directly with business stakeholders, project managers, developers and other business customer to define the business requirements, objectives and specifications.
  • Active involvement in solution finding within the project (close collaboration with business and IT and other customers/stakeholders)
  • Support development team on application design, logic, architecture and testing
  • Document business requirements and specifications as per firm standards

Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in a business analyst / business engineer role in the banking industry
  • Understands the common financial products, more precisely investment portfolio/ products/ processes
  • Very good IT knowledge and project experience (good understanding how an application is built)
  • Experienced with the standard requirements elaboration and documentation techniques
  • Ability to think in models as well as practical skills in using UML
  • Team player with self-motivated can-do mindset.
  • Swiss banking experience
  • Fluent in English. German language highly desired.
  • In depth portfolio management know how. (CFA/AZEK big plus)
  • Basic Technical skills (SQL, read and understand Java code, solid understanding of modern software engineering and architecture principles).
  • Local candidates preferred.
