For one of our clients, specialized in the pharmaceutical area with HQ in Basel, we are looking for an Information Architect WEX Network with previous experience in a pharmaceutical company. This is a challenging one year contracting position starting in May 2020.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, communicate, and influence the decision towards Information value opportunities in specific project
- Act as expert and advisor in projects that deal with multiple data sources and Insights generation needs;
- Initially dedicated to the IMC / IRIS (Information Management Center / Information and Retrieval Insight System) Initiative as their Squad Information Architect
- Design and actively co-create Data Models, Information Models and automatic Insights generation solutions (partnering with Solution and Application Architects)
- Actively discuss and co-create overall solution design (together with Business users, Business Analysts, Solution, Application and Data Architects);
- Push at the limit for all opportunities on data automation and automatic insights generation in projects with multiple data sources;
- Act as advisor and consultant in Information domain inside your projects
- Actively leverage all Data/Information technologies available as well as the Market technologies (when internal technologies and solutions don't meet customer's expectations and needs)
- Be the link from your projects to other IT Information Architecture Organizations
- Partners with business and through the rationalization of the information value chain, provides strategic recommendations to maximize the value of information assets via their creation, access, and use.
- Reviews and approves information and data model designs with a focus on those areas influencing interoperability, analytics including compliance with the enterprise information model
- Ensures integration of project logical data models into the enterprise information model and vice versa
- Maintains repositories for representing the data elements including the entities, relationships and attributes, the information flows, business glossary
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of experience in working with Business Architecture, Information Architecture, Application, and Infrastructure architecture.
- Proven experience in: Data Modelling, Data glossary & standards, Data Catalogue, Information Modelling, Information Flow Management, and data governance)
- Experience in conceptual data models / information data catalogue tools (e.g. but not limited to Collibra, Hadoop, Cloudera, Alteryx, Tableau)
- Expertise in data relevant technology domains: Data Integration (APIs & Micro Services); Data Lakes (AWS) and Artificial Intelligence
- Challenging and Customer oriented
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- IT Solutions design experience
- TOGAF certification
- Hands-on experience in the following areas is a plus: web server, application server, database, cloud hosting, API integration.
