Head of Human Resources

Experis IT Switzerland is urgently looking for a Head of Human Resources to join one of their clients in Zurich, a globally renowned Pharmaceutical organization with a fantastic brand! For this role we are looking for a candidate ideally with experience in a similar role to start as soon as possible who can speak fluent English, if you speak German this would be a big advantage!

Role Responsibility and Objective:

* The Head of HR is responsible for the HR management, including transactional and administrative HR as well as the Site Operations and Facility Management.

* Acts as a strategic HR business partner to drive organizational success through clear identification of organizational issues together with functional leaders and their local and global HRBP's to develop and deliver effective organizational development solutions.

* General HR coverage is provided through an organization of HRBPs dedicated to all 18 business areas. The HRBPs partner with the business on all business and talent related topics and the Head of HR supports and coaches the HRBPs in doing so.

* Head of HR manages an onsite Shared Service team for all transactional and administrative HR activities, including payroll and benefits.

* Additionally the Facility and Site Manager and in-house Reception report to the Head HR. They are overall responsible for Site Operations and supporting of the Employee Experience.

* The Head of HR acts as management representative in projects and tasks related to the European Works Council (EWC), technology projects and HR Transformation.

* As a Team leader, the Head of HR manages the HR processes for the HR team (e.g. performance appraisal, bonus calculations, salary reviews etc.), and ensures an effective team development with the ambition to service the organization at a consistent and professional level.

The ideal candidate will have:

* Bachelor's degree in business, HR or qualified through experience

* 10+ years of progressive HR experience in a multinational environment

* Experience in the pharmaceutical industry (ideally in HR) is a big advantage

* Solid skills and understanding in best practice HR partnering to deliver strong business performance

* Result oriented and able to develop plans/solutions and to deliver expected results even in ambiguous circumstances

* Skilled in developing HR plans/initiatives and aligning people management practices to support business objectives

* Broad experience in the entire employee life cycle as per Swiss regulations

* Openness and flexibility and ability to deal with and communicate change effectively

* Ability to manage and interpret employment laws into pragmatic solutions and navigate line management

* Business acumen and commercial awareness

* Analytical and problem solving skills along with the ability to make timely and balanced decisions

* Self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team

* Strong interpersonal skills combined with cultural sensitivity

* Fluent in business English (written and spoken), fluency in German advantageous.
