On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for a Core Java Developer with talent working with modern technologies.

Overview of the project:

• Within the Global Markets business area, the team is responsible for all Listed and Primary Market security execution for the client, predominantly covering Wealth Management and Private clients in Switzerland. The team is responsible for all the applications in the execution value chain from order entry, pre-trade compliance, execution, matching, settlement and booking.

Main responsibilities:

• Development of new applications in the area of order and trade management applications
• Writing applications responsible for Order and Trade Management
• Working with other team members on the requirements, preparing the releases and delivering the applications to production
• Continuous integration testing and related documentation updates
• Actively participate in the design and technology review of the applications written in the team
• Provide support for the existing systems where required

The skills and experience needed for these positions are:

• Over 5 years of professional experience in Core Java Development
• Proven experience working with Spring framework
• Best code practices with a distinct talent working with modern technologies
• A very thorough understanding of Java technology fundamentals and design patterns used in real-time transaction processing systems
• Experience in test automation (unit, integration, acceptance tests etc.)
• Experience in Build and Test Tools (Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, Junit, Mockito, GIT/Subversion) highly beneficial
• Experience of Agile working practices - Scrum / Kanban
• Banking experience, particularly in post-trading environment, is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills in English (German is an advantage)
