Experis is working with a successful pharma company and is currently looking for a Data Engineer to join its thriving business. Based in Basel, Switzerland, our client requires a candidate with the right mentality, passion and focus to support our client's business strategy and development. This is an excellent opportunity for an evangelist in Data Engineering to join one of Switzerland's largest pharma corporations.
Responsibilities:
- Design data pipeline architecture with Product owner to fit with product roadmap needs.
- Mentor for the Data Engineer community
- Expanding and optimizing data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and transformations.
- Defining how to develop the pipeline and his overall quality
- Help the team in building new and relevant data engineer features for enhancing the pipeline according to the roadmap.
- Providing technical guidance and direction as well as contributing hands-on to pipeline development
- Acts as an Evangelist and guiding practitioner of Agile and DevOps practices
Skills:
- Senior level data engineering (e.g. ETL) experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience building large-scale software systems and implementation of creative solutions to difficult computational problems
- Databricks or Spark experience
- Proficient in Python, R or Scala
- Experience with AWS / Azure cloud technologies
- Experience building big data applications and pipelines using Spark
- Strong knowledge in DevOps
