System Engineer Telecommunications (80-100%)


This major player in the energy industry is looking for a System Engineer in Telecommunications to join their team at their new state of art offices in Aarau.

Your tasks:

  • In this exciting role, you are responsible for the engineering of telecommunications and telecontrol infrastructures at their Aarau location and in the outstations
  • Here you are responsible for ensuring flawless and economical solutions using modern and field-proven technologies
  • They are responsible for the planning, implementation, expansion and installation of these systems, as well as the support of the operation in the 2nd level
  • In addition, you are responsible for evaluating the procurement of suitable systems
  • They support the 1st / 2nd level support in their area of procedures and initiate alternative and escalation procedures in the 3rd level

Your profile:

  • You have a Bachelor or Master in Telecommunication or equivalent education
  • You have at least four years experience in the engineering of complex communication infrastructures (voice, data, video), ideally for a critical infrastructure operator
  • For this role, we are looking for you as an assertive personality with good analytical skills and a structured and goal-oriented way of working
  • Several years of experience in the operation of communication or secondary technology in substations are a big plus for this role
  • Good knowledge of the ITIL phases Strategy and Design are a plus
  • They have a good empathy and a high degree of willingness to cooperate and enjoy dealing with people, combined with a hands-on mentality
  • You speak fluent German and have good English language skills. French would be an advantage
