System Engineer (2nd Level Support)

On behalf of our client, a well-known Consulting firm, we are looking for a System Engineer - 2nd Level Support - for a permanent position based in Zurich or Basel.

Missions:

• System integration, migration and upgrade of existing systems
• Integration of specially developed software applications into the system landscape of the customer
• System integration on site at the customer, with the close support of the development team from Zurich
• Support of customers during the rollout and development of their own company support (documentation, training)
• Operation of the internal development platforms for the development engineers
• Remote (on site) support
• Readiness for on-call service 7x24

Requirements:

• Computer science or electrical engineering
• well-founded practical experience in the administration of Windows Server 2012 or 2016 (MCSA or MCSE)
• Knowledge of databases Oracle, MSSQL and MySQL / MariaDB
• Sound knowledge of network technologies (TCP / IP)
• Knowledge of Java, Web Services, JBoss, SOAP, WSDL, XSD, CFX
• In-depth knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware vSphe-re / ESX, Hyper-V and Citrix XenServer)
• Knowledge of NAS and SAN storage (CIFS, NFS, iSCSI) as well as in the backup / restore environment
• Clean Criminal record
• German (at least C1) and good English level is required
