On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for a Senior Java Developer with very good understanding of modern technologies including Microservices and Kubernetes.
Responsibilities:
- Translating higher level business requirements into implementable lower level requirements
- Implementation of requirements, with particular focus on architecture, scalability, stability, automated testing
- Interaction with an international team of developers, architects, quantitative investment professionals
- Exposure to cutting-edge technologies and approaches for portfolio construction, trade recommendation, asset allocation
Skills:
- Over 7 years of experience in Java development and its ecosystem (Java 8, knowledge of Java 11 is a plus)
- + 7 years of experience in Java application frameworks, in particular Spring Boot
- Over 3 years of experience in highly performant mission critical server side applications
- At least 3 years of experience in applications using microservices architectures
- + 3 years of experience in designing and implementing APIs using technologies such as OpenAPI and REST
- + 3 years of experience in highly available, multi-threaded low latency platforms
- Experience in DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes / OpenShift, cloud & containerization technologies)
- Experience in messaging frameworks (Apache Kafka, Apache ActiveMQ)
- Previous experience of a development role in finance or computationally intense computing, e.g. banking, trading, asset management, risk management, insurance
- Understanding of financial products, time series and risk management principles
- Experience with Linux environments
- Good Team Player
