On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with proven experience in Python and/or Java development skills.
Project:
- The DevOps team develops a self-service platform for multiple teams of developers. It covers the application lifecycle starting with the build pipelines, releases and to the monitoring and alerting in a standardized way.
- The goal is to abstract away implementation details of the infrastructure services and to provide consistent solutions for the teams to deploy and operate their services themselves.
Responsibilities:
- Being the middle layer between development teams and infrastructure services
- Evaluation and integration of existing solutions into our workflow
- Handling operations as code
- Transition of microservice orchestration into the CS provided Container Solution
- Help the developers to use our tools and use the feedback for improvements or new solutions
Skills:
- Proven DevOps experience with over 5 years of development experience in either Python 3 (and/or Java) object oriented language
- Solid experience with various Linux infrastructure automation tools (e.g. Ansible or Salt) and shell scripting
- Deep architectural understanding and hands-on experience of DevOps tools (e.g. GitOps, Jenkins Pipelines, Declarative Deployments)
- Experience with Docker and its orchestration, ideally OpenShift or Kubernetes deployments
- Financial industry experience
- Proactive autonomous behavior
