Overview of contract

On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for a Product Owner to work on projects supporting a number of key applications

This is a 6-month contract that will be fully remote WITHIN the EU

Main responsibilities

• Develop a product vision in collaboration with the Product Area Lead.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand their needs and integrate them into the product backlog.
• Work closely with internal and external SaaS and cloud engineers, solution architects and business analysts in the squad to design and deliver product improvements.
• Prioritise work items from the backlog, set the sprint goals and participate in agile events.
• Maximise the product value and take ownership of the corresponding budget.
• Define outcome-based metrics (OKRs) and measure the value built.
• Co-lead the squad together with the Scrum Master and technical Chapter Leads and foster an agile mentality.
• Collaborate with Swiss Re's Group Technology Services on their strategy, share best practices with other teams and influence technology decisions.

Your skills:

• 10+ years of practical experience with SaaS solutions, Cloud technology and the ITIL framework.
• Detailed, multi-year experience with Scrum or similar agile methodologies in a Product Owner role.
• Strong analytical skills.
• A passion to lead people in your squad with your interpersonal skills, through listening, inspiring, encouraging as well as giving/receiving feedback.
• Superb English language proficiency
• A Scrum certification is a plus
• A university degree in IT, Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
