PMO / Project Manager - TOM

On behalf of our client, a well-known financial brand, we are looking for a #PMO / Project Manager with great communication skills in German & English.

Location: Zurich
Start date: ASAP - negotiation is possible
Duration of contract: 12 months - possibility for extension
Workload: 100%

Main responsibilities:

  • External project resource to support
  • preparation and implementation of
    strategic sourcing setup of IWMS
  • The project resource is part of the project implementation team and supports in driving the implementation and organizing the PMO and related tasks
  • Strategic sourcing setup builds upon twopossible layers in intra-group setup: support staff in low-cost country in Asia (extended team setup), core function staff in lower-cost location in Europe
    (extended team setup if possible or full function shift)
  • Preparation includes (not exhaustive): Defining European location, thereby identifying and considering all relevant aspects with regard to information security, data processing, system availability, regulatory requirements, etc.); aligning with relevant stakeholders, elaborating target operating model for
  • sourcing locations, assessing impact on functions in final scope, establishing management framework
  • Implementation includes (not exhaustive): setting up transition phase plan, establishing detailed planning of workplaces/room plans for the respective new locations, conducting outsourcing assessment, establishing detailed staffing plan and hiring/ramp-down plan of existing work forces
  • PMO-related tasks include (not exhaustive): organizing and preparing STCs, tracking deliverables and timelines, decision log documentation, cost management, benefit tracking, risk management, etc.)

Your skills:

  • First-hand experience with managing and running PMO
  • Experience with implementing outsourcing setup in financial services industry in Europe
  • Understanding of difficulties with regard to cross-border data transfer, system availability, information security requirements
  • Excellent skills in preparing presentations for senior management updates and STCs
  • Very good organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills - Excellent English and German
