Experis Switzerland is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer. It is a contract position based in Zürich at a large international company with a focus on Virtual & Augmented Reality.

What you will do:

• CAD Design (classic, but also a lot freeform and surface design)
• Design of parts/assemblies mainly for 3d-printing
• Design custom trackable for motion capture applications
• Interface with existing CAD designs/assemblies of product prototypes
• Quickly iterate designs with extensive use of on-site 3D printing
• Optimize designs for multiple factors, such as weight distribution, occlusion, deformation, user handling
• Collaborate with data collection engineers to quickly incorporate feedback into design revisions
• Assemble prototypes in house
• Collaborate with manufacturing companies, create drawings and BOMs for external assembly

Your profile:

• Sc. / M.Eng. / B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of experience with mechanical design and rapid prototyping
• 3D modeling / CAD design skills, preferably Siemens NX
• Assembly of electro-mechanical systems including wiring, soldering, crimping
• Understanding of 3D printing technologies and other mechanical manufacturing methods
• 3D printing of prototype parts (preferred MJF and FDM/FFF)
